I am using MediaManager Version: r 4.1 build 0.2.

I am not very familiar with the interface yet, but it looks like it can be figured out easily enough.

I am having difficulty playing some video files. Is there something I need to do to have the player play AVIs?

Are there other versions of the MediaManager that are better? Firmware?

I just bought one of these without software off ebay. I pursued many links from past conversations to dead ends, but was hoping someone could help me find a working windows prismiq media manager application. I'm just starting with this so I hesitate to start into all of the hacks yet, but if that's all that's available, then I'll go there. Any words of advise for a prismiq newby are greatly appreciated.

I have a number of video files on my server. Some are vob, some are mpg and some are avi files. The avi files appear on the TV screen as being in the playlist, but when I select them to be played, I get a message that they cannot be found. The only time they can be played is when I first turn on the media receiver and reboot the server. I just purchased the PRISMIQ used on E-bay. I know the unit works, because I had it working for a while, but now I'm stuck.

Right now, my problem is re-installing the software. I did an uninstall--and that took a bit of doing. What happens now is I start the install from the CD--and the install screen pops up fine.
