We are working on a new Xbox360 Game called PaperWars that will be available on the Xbox Live Community Games within the next few months.

PaperWars is a 3D war game that is based on a school game we played as kids. Basically the game has two sides with an empty "no man's land" in between. The players have to position their units in their respective sides in any way they wish within their area. Once placed, the units can not be moved and the shooting begins. Players take turns trying to shoot at each other's units until one side is completely destroyed.

This may sound very simple.... I guess because it is!
(Some of you may have played this game when you were kids, as I have grown up in central Europe and played it there myself.)

The trick is in how you shoot at your enemy. In the original physical (non-computerized) game we would hold a pen upright with the index finger on the top and it's tip on the unit we wanted to shoot from. The pen is aimed by leaning it back opposite where you want to shoot. Shooting is done by pushing down on the pen with the index finger until the pen shoots forward from the pressure and draws a line. The line is then continued in the same way and angle that the "shooting" pen drew, until it hits a unit or reaches the edge of the paper.
We are going to transfer this way of shooting to the Xbox game console.

It will be somewhat similar in controller control to the Tiger Woods golf game for example.
